The training path of #OpenAfricaPower2023 started today with the African Module, focused on the state of the art of the electricity sector! More than 100 talented African students, selected on the basis of the enhanced requirements of the #OAP23 call for application, will be attending the online classes till the end of June on a variety of topics, such as #renewables, networks technology, #electrification, regulation and ICT digitalization of the #electricity industry. In the coming months further modules of the Program will explore the new frontiers of the sector and the regulation of energy access.
The aim of the OAP program, with 400 alumni in its first 5 editions representing almost 40 African countries, is to support the new generation of African leaders deeply engaged with their country’s clean energy future, of paramount importance to unlock the continent’s sustainable growth.
The module was opened with an introductory session by Christian Zulberti, Deputy Director at #EnelFoundation; Kanika Chawla, Chief of Staff at Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) | #SEforALLForum; Jodie Martin, Head of Executive Education at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town; and Swetha Ravi Kumar, Florence School of Regulation.
Thank you Wikus Kruger and Prof. Izael Da Silva for your first inspiring lectures!
Stay tuned for more updates!
